Art on The Prom

9/2/2012

Felixstowe held its Art on the Prom today and luckily the weather held for the participating artists. I didn't exhibit there but went to enjoy the variety of art on display. There were many excellent piece's of artwork including paintings in differing media, ceramics, embroidary, knitting and many many more, but for me the artist that stood out was Ian Last whose pencil work was extrodinary. Ian kindly gave me some tips on some of his techniques, and although these were already known to me, I hadn't given such thought to how he used these techniques in such a creative and different way, I can't wait to try them out in a more experimental way. Although I've never met Ian before I'm happy to give his details out in my blog because quite simply, he deserves it - Ian, if you ever see this, hope you don't mind!!!
